1. Check-in, check-out and health checks
Drop-off and pick-up are the busiest moments of the day. Check-in should take seconds, record the daily health check, and show who is authorised to collect each child.
2. Daily reports teachers can actually keep up with
Logging meals, naps, nappy changes and activities should take a few taps. Photos should go only to each child's own family.
3. Fees and subsidies
Invoices should show the gross fee, subsidies and the net amount payable, support deposits and registration fees, and accept PayNow and GIRO.
4. Enrolment and waitlists
Track enquiries, centre visits and waitlists per programme — infant care, playgroup, N1, N2, K1 and K2 — and convert them to enrolments without retyping.
5. A parent app in their language
Notices, consent forms, daily reports and invoices in one app, with translations into Chinese, Malay and Tamil for grandparents and caregivers.
6. Records for licensing
Attendance, health checks, incidents, staff and enrolment records should be stored digitally and exportable when ECDA or your management asks for them.
