What should a preschool registration fee cover?
Registration fees are one-off charges for processing an enrolment. Deposits are usually refundable when a child withdraws with proper notice. Optional charges — insurance, uniforms, field trips, photos, graduation and concerts — should be clearly marked as optional, and parents can ask for a full list before enrolling.
Do preschools charge for parent apps?
37 centres list an optional charge for an online parent communication tool, with a median of S$20. Many centres include parent communication in their fees instead.
